Dr. Daeha Kim, from the Climate Prediction Department, APEC Climate Center, delivered a special lecture on career education for Annam Middle School (AMS) students from Changwon, Korea on 22 - 23 May 2019.

The special lecture entitled the ‘Meaning & Societal Contributions of Scientific Inquiries’ was attended by 39 students from AMS. 31 students participated in the special lecture on 22 May 2019 and 8 students participated on 23 May 2019.

These students are very interested in science and research, showing big potential to be scientists, according to an aptitude test implemented by AMS.

Dr. Daeha Kim introduced the students to the knowledge and quality required to be scientists. He also discussed the societal impacts that scientific inquiry & research can have, and their contributions to societal development.

Dr. Daeha Kim’s special lecture was held both to strengthen the contribution of APCC to the local community as a public institution and to provide an opportunity for students to explore future careers. The AMS students who attended this special lecture gained knowledge about APCC and careers related to science and research.
