From February 2020, the APEC Climate Center (APCC) launched probabilistic forecast service of individual seasonal climate models collected for its Multi-Model Ensemble (MME) prediction.
In September 2019, APCC also expanded the prediction service of seasonal climate models of which the number was increased from 8 to 13.
APCC currently collects seasonal climate models’ data from 14 leading climate prediction centers and institutes in 10 countries and disseminates MME prediction to APEC member economies through its website (www.apcc21.org) on the 20th of each month. Along with its current services, APCC provides individual models’ probabilistic forecast from this month to raise the usability of climate information.
