Ms. Sangwon Moon, head of External Affairs Department and Ms. Inja Jeon, Researcher of the same department from the APEC Climate Center (APCC), attended the 2021 Asia Pacific Science & Technology Cooperation Virtual Forum on Feb. 18, 2021.
The forum was held to share the achievements of the science and technology cooperation projects on *APEC, *ASEAN, *UNESCAP, and *AMGS in the Asia-Pacific region amongst experts and to discuss the project directions for the Year 2021.
* APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation), ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), UNESCAP (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific), AMGS (APEC Mentoring Center for Gifted in Science)
Ms. Sangwon Moon, head of External Affairs Department, shared the progress, accomplishments and future work plan of the APEC Climate Symposium project, conducted by APCC, with the forum participants.
Participants noted that there is a gap between producer and user of the climate information and appropriate delivery methods of the information are critical. In this context, the role of APCC is essential in minimizing the existing gap and identifying the most effective communication strategies for the climate information services.
