The APEC Climate Center (APCC) have started providing the information on the forecast probabilistic distribution of East Asian temperature/precipitation through its homepage (Only in Korean : https://www.apcc21.org/ser/eastasia/outlook.do?lang=ko) since December 2021.

The forecast probability distribution information on East Asian temperature/precipitation, using APCC’s probabilistic forecasting methods, is the prediction information showing the probabilistic distribution of temperature and precipitation tertiary (above normal, near normal, below normal) forecasts by prediction time. This information allows estimation of forecast uncertainty.

There are two types of the information on the forecast probability distribution of East Asian temperature/precipitation offered by APCC : the probabilistic distribution of the Multi-Model Ensemble (MME) prediction and the probabilistic distribution of the individual model prediction.
