The APCC 2016 Statistical Downscaling Training Program on the Generation of Regional Climate Data Derived from Statistical Downscaling Techniques was held at the APCC headquarters in Busan, South Korea from 22 to 27 August 2017. Statistical downscaling techniques can regenerate climate information, which has resolution of observation data that generates by global model relatively simply by reflecting statistical data of observation directly and by generating high resolution regional climate data. Developing countries that may have limited resources can make use of various global high resolution data producing technology that uses statistical downscaling technique.
