Dr. Sunkwon Yoon, Leader of Integrative Climate Research Team at the APEC Climate Center (APCC) gave the presentation on the subject of 'Long-term Water Resources Forecasting System Using Climate Information' as an expert lecturer during ‘Korea-China Cooperative Symposium 2018 on Climate Change Adaptation’. The symposium was held in Gyeongsang National University on August 7th.

As more Artificial Intelligence (AI) studies are being conducted to enable more efficient modeling and analysis for extreme hydro-meteorological phenomena caused by climate change, this symposium was held to provide a venue for sharing research cases and achievements.

In this seminar, Dr. Sunkwon Yoon from the APEC Climate Center said “In the long run, we can predict and respond with water-related abnormal climate phenomena such as extreme rainfall by using climate information and minimize disaster and damage”. The presentation in this seminar attracted a lot of attention from the participants.
