The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) and the APEC Climate Center (APCC) successfully hosted the 2026 APEC Climate Symposium on Tuesday, aiming to boost technological cooperation against extreme weather conditions.

Co-organized with the APEC Center for Technology Transfer (APCTT), the symposium took place both online and in person at the Dalian International Conference Center. Under the theme of "Technology Innovation for Extreme Weather Risk Management in the APEC Region," the event brought together participants to share practical solutions for climate risks.

This year's symposium was notably held in conjunction with the general assembly of the Policy Partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation under the Third Senior Officials' Meeting (2026 SOM3 PPSTI).
