The APEC Climate Center (APCC) has successfully completed the transfer of the Climate-system Historical Forecast Project (CHFP), a core climate prediction research database of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP). The APCC began its pilot service on July 1 through its official website (www.apcc21.org).

This transfer was carried out with the consensus of the international climate academic community. The CHFP database has successfully transitioned from its previous operator, the Center for Ocean and Atmospheric Research (CIMA) in Argentina, to the APCC, which is globally recognized for its outstanding climate information system operations.

The CHFP serves as an international climate data bank, compiling core historical climate prediction data from nine leading climate institutions in countries such as Japan, the UK, and the US. It was established to support and revitalize global climate prediction research, making it a highly significant asset in the field.
