The APCC ENSO Alert suggests “ Inactive”. Niño3.4 index is expected to be near zero with negligible change during forecast period. ENSO-neutral conditions are most probable for the whole forecast period.
MME Temperature & Precipitation Seasonal Outlook for May 2025 ~ October 2025
Strongly enhanced probability for above normal temperatures is predicted for most of the globe except for the central and eastern tropical Pacific for May — October 2025. Above normal precipitation is predicted for the South Asia, western Pacific, northern Australia, Sahel region whereas below normal precipitation is predicted for the equatorial Pacific, western side of North America for May — July 2025. For August — October 2025, above normal precipitation is expected for Sahel and the Central Africa, India, whereas below normal precipitation is expected for the Caribbean Sea and western and eastern coast of tropical Africa.
