The APCC ENSO Alert suggests “La Niña Watch”. Niño3.4 index is expected to be -0.2℃ for July 2024 and then gradually decrease to -1.1℃ for December 2024. La Niña conditions are most probable for July – December 2024.
MME Temperature & Precipitation Outlook for July 2024 ~ December 2024
Strongly enhanced probability for above normal temperatures is predicted for most of the globe except for the eastern tropical and subtropical Pacific for July – December 2024. For the same period, strongly enhanced probability for below normal precipitation is predicted for the western equatorial Pacific.
