APEC 기후센터 기후응용서비스개발팀의 한정민 팀장이 오는 24일 대전에 위치한 목원대학교에서 열리는 2013년도 한국컨텐츠학회 춘계학술회의에 참석한다. 한정민 박사는 "아시아-태평양 지역 기후자료 제공 인터페이스 개발"에 관한 연구 내용 및 결과를 발표할 계획이다.

Title: Interface Development of Climate Data Service over the Asia-Pacific Region

Abstract:
Global warming causes extreme weather events such as tropical cyclones, floods, heavy rains and heavy snowstorms in a particular area. To understand and to deal with these kinds of extreme weather events, comprehensive global analyses are urgently needed based on the future climate scenario data sets. However, there is no system to provide the extraction function where only user required area base on integrated climate data. Furthermore, it is difficult with studying comprehensive researches due to the absence of system and storage space which can handle big climate data. Therefore, the aim of this study is developing web interface which provides and analyzes user preferred data using climate data such as temperature, humidity, wind direction over Asia-Pacific area in the climate and application field.
