APEC Climate Center had a cooperative meeting with ADB officials to discuss support to climate change response projects in developing countries

APEC Climate Center(APCC) held a cooperative meeting with ADB(Asia Development Bank) officials from July 11th to 14th in ADB(President: Takehiko Nakao) Headquarters, Manila Philippines, to discuss support to climate change response projects in developing countries.
APCC representatives led by Dr. Hong-Sang Jung(Executive Director) and accompanied by Dr. Hyngjin Kim(Head of Climate Application Department) and Ms. Sangwon Moon(Head of External Affairs Department), visited the ADB(Asia Development Bank) Headquarters and had a cooperative meeting with ADB officials to find promising areas for joint climate change response projects and pave the way for reaping the synergistic effects through conducting joint climate change response projects with ADB in the future.
Dr. Hong Sang Jung and APCC’s representatives met ADB’s high level officials such as Dr. Wencai Zhang, ADB vice president, Mr. Won-Mok Choi, Board Director and Mr. Nessim Ahmad, Vice Director from Sustainable Development and Climate Change etc. to ask ADB’s cooperation and support to APCC’s climate change response projects in the Asia-Pacific region and above.
During the cooperative meeting between APEC representatives and ABD working group, APEC representative introduced APCC’s climate change response projects and capacity building programs for the developing countries. APEC representatives could notice that working groups from ADB were interested in joint projects between APCC and ADB enough to shed a lot of questions about APCC’s climate information application projects for climate change response.
