Executive Director Dr. Hong-Sang Jung and the entire staff of the APEC Climate Center (APCC) gathered in the Lotus Hall located in its premises on January 2nd to begin the first working day of 2017 with a New Years’ Ceremony. During the ceremony Dr. Jung, in addressing the employees, hoped that 2017 would be a year for APCC to leap forward based on its achievements in the past ten years. Furthermore, he proposed the following three objectives for APCC in 2017.

Firstly, APCC should become a world renowned specialized institution on climate by providing needs based climate information. Secondly, as has been the case recently when APCC had become the first research institution based in Korea to participate in a Green Climate Fund (GCF) supported project, APCC should redouble its efforts to provide its climate application services to the world. Lastly, more effort is required to shape and stabilize the institutional foundation for the operation of the Center.
