The APEC Climate Center (APCC) welcomed 23 officials from 8 emerging economies currently studying the masters’program on Global Environment Policy at the University of Seoul to its office in Busan. The officials were briefed on APCC's climate change adaptation research and projects, and discussed global agendas related to the climate.

The officials had the opportunity to better understand climate change and variability associated with environmental policy by hearing from and asking questions to APCC researchers on their climate change adaptation research, projects, and achievements.

On the other hand, it was an opportunity for APCC to listen to the environmental interests and issues of emerging countries. Such opportunities lay the groundwork for APCC's activities in providing user friendly and needs based climate information, and in cooperations with these nations on improving the ability to combat climate change in the environment sector.
