APEC Climate Center held the “Policy Workshop on Green Energy, Transportation and Green Cities”

The APEC Climate Center (APCC) held the “Policy Workshop on Green Energy, Transportation and Green Cities” from March 21 to 23 at the International Convention Center Jeju with the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, and the Jeju International Training Center.
The workshop was held to disseminate key know-how in forging systematic transport infrastructure, constructing energy-efficient buildings, and invigorating alternative energy for 19 officials who work in charge of diverse fields including environment, public policy, investment, traffic and energy from 8 developing countries (Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, and the Philippines) of the Asia-Pacific region.
In the workshop, 15 experts from Keio University, Korea University, Kyoto University, Mitsui, the Asian Development Bank, ADBI, Waseda University, the United Nations Environment Program, Chung-Ang University, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), the Korean Ministry of Environment, and APCC helped officials to broaden their knowledge of relevant fields through key presentations and discussions.
Session topics were “Climate Change induced Challenges and Successful Climate Change Adaption,” “Strategies for the Diffusion of Green Industries and Green Energy,” “Production and Consumption for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals,” and “Fourth Industrial Revolution and Green Big Bang Jeju.”
