The ASEAN Science-Based Disaster Management Platform project (ASDMP) sought to promote “scientific and technical research programmes that study the causes and consequences of disasters and facilitate activities that promote and support the development of the means, methods, techniques, and equipment for disaster management, particularly in risk reduction” (ASEAN 2013). This project was funded by the Government of Korea through the ASEAN-ROK Special Cooperation Fund, and was implemented by the APEC Climate Center (APCC) and the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance (AHA Centre) from 2016 to 2017.
The ASDMP Training Workshop was held to introduce the ASDMP project and web platform, demonstrate the ASDMP including the previous AHA Centre’s requests to the web platform, conduct a hands-on training on the user interface, web administrator, and system administrator functions, introduce the cloud server services and train the administrator functions, and discuss AHA Centre’s additional requests to the platform.
