The purpose of the APCC-PAGASA Regional Prediction System (APCC-PRePS) project was to increase the overall capacity of the PAGASA staff through the installation of a RegCM model on the High Performance Computing Facility in PAGASA to deliver seasonal prediction information in the Philippines and through capacity building activities. The activities under this project were funded by Advance Solutions, Inc. (ASI) through the “Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing, Supervision, Training and Commissioning of PAGASA Climate Forecast Computing System” Purchase Order No. 2018-032 PB issued by PAGASA.

The Technical Workshop on Statistical Downscaling and AIMS was held to increase the capacity of PAGASA and relevant sector stakeholders to be able to downscale climate change scenarios, and to showcase the ways that climate information can be used in different sectors.
