The APEC Climate Center (APCC) held a specialized 4-week training course titled “2023 Young Scientist Support Program”, from the 4^th-31^st of October. APCC invited four Meteorology Service Officers from four Pacific Islands countries: the Republic of Marshall Islands, the Cook Islands, Niue, and Tuvalu.

The program, funded by the UNEP CIS pac-5 project, consisted of courses focusing on cultivating climate data analysis skills of the officers, with the aim of enhancing climate resilience in the pacific region.

APCC will continue stepping up efforts in responding to climate change through similar programs.
